Where is ? helps users organize personal entries, notes, links, dates, groups and information about items. An account is not required for core features.
Entries you create are stored locally on your device. The developer does not operate an account service or cloud server to which the app automatically uploads your entries. The Android app uses on-device storage, including SQLite.
If you choose to scan a QR code or barcode, the app requests camera access to decode it. The app does not automatically save camera images or videos as entries. Only the decoded text or code is saved when you choose to add a record. Android/Google scanning components may be used.
If you choose “Search in Google”, the app opens a Google search containing the entered or scanned barcode digits. Google handles this query under its own privacy terms. Links you choose to open may lead to other websites. Avoid searching for sensitive information if you do not wish to share it with an external service.
You may choose to export your records to a JSON backup or share content through the Android system sharing interface. You select the destination or recipient. External apps and cloud providers may have their own privacy terms.
The version reviewed for this policy does not require accounts, display advertising, or include developer-operated analytics. Android/Google platform components and third-party libraries may process technical information under their own terms.
You can delete records and groups within the app. Uninstalling generally removes locally stored app data, but copies you have exported or shared must be deleted separately. Android system backups may operate under separate rules.
The app is for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children.
We may update this policy if features or data practices change. The updated date will be shown above. For questions, use the contact address listed above.
